Hardscapes & Pavers in Gresham
Hardscapes that look right and stay level
Pavers fail for one reason in the Pacific Northwest: a shallow base. Water gets under the stones, the ground heaves in a cold snap and the surface rolls. We excavate deep, build a compacted gravel base, screed the bedding layer and lock the edges so your patio stays flat for decades.
From a small paver landing off the back door to a full patio with seat walls and a fire pit, we design around your home, your grade and how you want to use the space, then tie it into the lawn and beds so the finished yard feels like one project.

Hardscapes & Pavers questions
Straight answers about hardscapes & pavers in Gresham. Have another question? Call (503) 347-4463 or send the form and Luis will get back to you.
Ask a questionHow deep do you excavate for a paver patio?
Typically 7 to 9 inches for a patio: 4 to 6 inches of compacted gravel, one inch of bedding sand and the paver. Walkways need a little less, driveways need more.
How long does a paver patio take?
Most patios take three to six working days depending on size, access and how much grading is needed. We give you a schedule before we start.
Can you fix a patio that has sunk or heaved?
Yes. We lift the pavers, rebuild the failed section of base, re-set and re-sand. If the whole base is shallow we will tell you honestly whether a rebuild makes more sense.
Do you do concrete too?
We focus on pavers, flagstone and gravel. They drain better, repair easier and look better with the landscape than a poured slab.
Where do you build hardscapes?
Gresham and the surrounding area within about 25 miles, including Happy Valley, Troutdale, Damascus and East Portland.
